VDT Control Software is a powerful package of two cooperating software - VDT Control Center and VDT Control Server. This package serves as a setting and data visualisation software for most of Viditech instruments. It is based on a client-server model and allows remote monitoring of the units worldwide. In short, Server serves only for units connection and user rights administration, Center serves for data displaying and managing the units. The main idea is that there is one computer with VDT Control Server running and measuring instruments connected to it (e.g. via USB-RS485 converter) - server part. On the second (or many other) computer VDT Control Center is running and users connect from worldwide to the Server. It is possible to connection of more users to one server, of course it can be limited by user rights (e.g. one user can only see the units and measured data, the second user can also change the parameters of it etc.).

Center application allows mainly:

• overview of all instruments connected to the server which is Center connected to
• displaying of the main measured values form each instrument
• detailed measured values of one selected instrument
• showing of analysis results, starting analysis, showing all trends, postmortem curve
• changing setup of the unit
• many other features depending on the type of the unit

The good note is that Center serves only for displaying of the results. All data (trends, postmortem, ...) are stored and analysis are done in the instrument, Software only asks the unit for results.

There are two versions of Software package available - Basic version and Full version. Full version has (in addition to the basic version) mainly:

• possibility of protocols creating, printing, storing into the internal database from all measurements
• export of measured data into CSV format
• automatized measuring application allowing create user-defined measuring scheme (day of a week, time of a day when measuring is active, selecting from the list of devices which one shall be used for measuring, time interval of different types measuring etc.)
